"The creative inspiration that feeds my design work comes from a deep seated passion for our unqiue natural environment. The exquiste forms, textures and colours of the endemic native flora stamp an indelible mark on all the works i create. These, coupled with my other great loves for the lushness of the flora of South America and the structual beauty of the flora of South Africa, form a pallette with which i paint my particular identity on the landscape. Landscape design as an art form, features strongly in all the work i create. This, coupled with my fascination with light (both natural and man made)and its interaction with the landscape, often coalesce in the form of site specific sculptures, designed to complement and enhance. My desire is to create a visual feast that excites, delights and is a journey of discovery and inclusion of these forms helps to fufil that aim".
Alex Schanzer Landscaping was initally started in 1999 and has been producing innovative award winning concepts, which have been published widely in many media, since its inception. The services it offers clients are Consultation, vectorworks CAD design and Implementation of the design process. In all of theses areas, the clients needs are paramount with emphasis on quality, integrity and innovation in appropriate design solutions, being the ultimate outcome.
Recent additions to the services offered include the development of 'PHOTOsynthesis' - a collection of Botanical image props created by Alex Schanzer Landscaping, to enhance the visual experience of CAD design (view the shop) for the client, bringing the beauty of nature to life.
