The existing garden beds are uninspiring and segregated from each other. Tired old pavers, overgrown with weeds and moss frame the beds, dominating the garden, which lacks colour and design. Enter designer Alex Schanzer, whose brilliance in gardens of distinction will transform this undesirable plot into a hot spot of Spanish style and form. Spanish gardens are ablaze with brightly planted pots that give the garden the appearance of fresh blooms all year round. Typically clay pots known as Amphorae, which were large vessels that held wine or tinajas, that held water in drought periods were filled with explosions of colour. Alex has chosen to use brightly blue glazed pots that contrast against the strong red of the zincalume panels. The pots will be filled with Cordyline V - 'Green Goddess' and under planted with Pimeliea - 'Misty Blue'. To disguise an outdated ½ round retaining wall, Alex has chosen to use medium sized boulders that will bring informality and a natural feel to the retained garden ...
